What are you going to do with Jesus?

I recently heard a sermon that asked that question… and honestly, I can’t shake it.

As we approach Easter, it feels especially important.

Because the truth is—just about every religion has something to say about Jesus.

A good teacher.

A prophet.

A miracle worker.

A man who lived and did good things.

But that leaves us with a decision…

What are you going to do with Jesus?

He made bold claims. And as C. S. Lewis said, Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord.

For me…He is LORD & Savior.

My life was heading down a destructive path…and yet, He ordered my steps... into a park… into an invitation… into a church.

His Word spoke truth over me:

I am loved.

I am known.

My life has purpose.

His Spirit tugged at my heart…helping me see I was lost, and my way was leading to death.

But His love met me right there in my ugliness…

and offered me something beautiful instead.

His sons and daughters came alongside me

teaching me how to pray,

how to seek Him,

how to open His Word,

how to listen.

His call led me to take steps I never imagined... walking through classes, studies, and ultimately into pastoral ordination for a time.

And through every high and every low…every victory and every heartbreak… I’ve learned this:

He is my source of strength.

In the hardest seasons, I’ve found Him closest.

In the weakest moments, I’ve found Him strongest.

His promise of Heaven gives me hope.

His presence gives me life.

His truth gives me direction.

Jesus is my Savior.

Jesus is my Lord.

His way is better.

His purposes are greater.

His love is constant.

His promises are true.

His Word is LIFE.

His Word is TRUTH.

He is the better way.

So I ask you…

What are you going to do with Jesus?

I hope you give Him the time to speak to you through His Word because it is through His Word, you will find life! 1I n the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He existed in the beginning with God.

3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. Let the light in!

Love always Traci Jo
